Thanks to your generous support, we were able to cover the cost of rehabilitation for five children who attended vital sessions over several months at specialized centers. These children are Kira Karhiieva, Myroslav Borysov, Mykhailo Zavorotnyi, Mykhailo Rotar, and Sasha Basenko.
All of them face challenges related to delayed psycho-speech development, and consistent sessions with professional specialists are helping them grow and thrive.
Mykhailo Rotara completed a program that included speech therapy, therapeutic physical education, and lessons with a correctional teacher. He has significantly expanded his vocabulary and become more attentive and self-assured.
Sasha enjoyed working with exercise machines, though reading and drawing remain a bit more difficult for him. His mother shares that he finds new tasks challenging at first but gradually masters them with the right support. Importantly, Sasha never needs to be persuaded to attend his classes—he always goes with a smile.
Myron also made great strides. He has become more focused during sessions, shows genuine interest in learning, and even asks when the next meeting will be. His family is thrilled with his progress and believes in his continued growth.
Mykhailo Zavorotnyi had to take long breaks in his rehabilitation due to illness. His parents shared that during air raid alerts, he becomes very anxious and agitated. Drawing and calm music help soothe him. They’re especially happy that he has started to enjoy creative activities.
Kira worked with a speech therapist, a special education teacher, and a rehabilitation specialist. She focused on learning self-care skills and managing emotions—a challenging but incredibly important journey. Her parents are already noticing meaningful progress.
We spent 119,430 UAH (approximately 2,900 USD) to provide rehabilitation for these five children.
Thank you to everyone who is helping change children’s lives for the better!
