At the age of 8 months, Diana suffered severe seizures, after which she lost all the skills she had managed to acquire. She stopped sitting, standing, holding toys, rolling over, and reacting to the outside world.
Today, Diana is 16 years old. She has a genetic form of epilepsy and delayed mental and physical development. Thanks to the love and daily efforts of her family, Diana has managed to gradually regain some of the lost skills. Today, the girl understands speech, can pronounce individual words, eat on her own, and walk for a short time while holding someone's hand.
Diana's family has to overcome many difficulties every day related to her condition and spend a lot of energy and funds to ensure she receives the necessary care and treatment. But now another important need has arisen — Diana urgently needs to treat 9 teeth.
Due to the specifics of her condition, dental treatment is only possible under general anesthesia. The cost of the treatment is about 15,000 UAH (approx. 360 USD) — a sum that the family is currently finding extremely difficult to raise on their own.
