Report on received and spent donations
In December 2025, together with you, we raised funds for an oxygen concentrator for Oleh. Sincere thanks!
Update as of January 2026: we are conducting a new fundraiser for enteral nutrition.
From birth, Oleh has had congenital conditions that significantly affect the development of his nervous system and motor functions. Doctors diagnosed him with numerous severe diseases — Dandy–Walker malformation, hydrocephalus, spastic tetraparesis, epilepsy, and portal hypertension. The full list of diagnoses takes up seven lines in his medical records.
Oleh’s portal hypertension manifested as early as the age of two. After a repeated episode of bleeding, doctors had to remove his spleen, which became yet another severe ordeal in his life.
Oleh is now 14 years old. He cannot speak, hold his head, or eat independently — the boy is completely dependent on the care of his parents, who love and protect him unconditionally.
In August 2024, Oleh was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Regional Children’s Hospital with gastrointestinal bleeding, and several months later a complication developed — peritonitis. Since then, the boy has been hospitalized for more than a year. His condition is currently severe but stable, and discharge home may be possible within a week.
For a long time, Oleh was fully dependent on mechanical ventilation. Now he breathes through a tracheostomy and requires constant oxygen support. For him to return home, an oxygen concentrator costing 25,800 Ukrainian hryvnias is required. This equipment is not just a device — it is a chance for Oleh to survive and get through this critically difficult period. Help Oleh breathe freely!
