For those 4 months we knew Vladik Tikhonov his name became a symbol of hope. It was the hope for his recovery and also for rescue of other seriously ill children.

We were fighting for pure soul Vladik who had acute myeloid leukemia. Many people helped to collect money for allogeneic marrow bone transplantation in Hadassah university hospital, Israel as such kind of treatment is unavailable in Ukraine.

Vladik was in remission and Hadassah was ready to start the typing and searching for donor… but the boy could not wait anymore, his organs were overcome by the megadozed chemotherapy, the edema of lungs occured... 10.12.2008 Vladik died in reanimation department.

Vladik’s parents decided to give the sum collected for the treatment in Israel (the whole sum is about 305 000 hryvnas or about 60 thousand dollars) to another seriously ill children in order they have a chance to get treatment and live. Or may be they give the money for purchasing of a necessary medical equipment. Or may be we should start organizing our own ukrainian marrow bone donor centre with the help of this sum in order to give a chance to other people with blood diseases. In remembrance of Vladik and other innocent died children.

We can't forget your sad eyes, dear Vladik.
