=====================================

Looking at little Eva one could hardly believe that she already had to face so many hardships - the girl was prematurely born at just 26 weeks, weighting 700 grams (1.54 pounds). However, thanks to Almighty God and doctors’ professionalism, Eva managed to survive. Although the baby-girl had to stay in the newborn intensive care unit for a long period of time, her health condition as well as her weight soon stabilized and the baby finally could come home.

Until recently the Vorobyevy Family enjoyed being happy parents of their blonde angel. Eva’s premature health complications certainly affect her in many ways. Due to the girl’s immature inner organs, her immune system is very weak and Eva often suffers from bronchitis. Eva’s parents, nevertheless, consider themselves blessed with their beloved daughter.

As soon as Eva turned one year old, her mom noticed that the girl’s stomach got bigger. The ultrasound scanning revealed enlarged spleen and Eva was referred to the Zaporizhzhya Regional Hospital. A thorough medical examination determined the girl’s diagnosis - portal hypertension syndrome. The Ukrainian physicians strongly recommend that Eva undergo portal anastomosis surgery that will help the girl avoid the internal variceal hemorrhage.

Eva’s case is very complicated that’s why her surgery is planned in the Moscow N. Filatov clinic that is well-known for its experienced surgeons as well as effective treatment of young children. The only great obstacle on Eva’s way is 1, 367 US dollars that must be raised within a very short time. Eva’s parents need also an additional sum of at last 300 US dollars for their trip to the clinic and other expenses during their stay in Russia.

Although Eva is fighting with a virus infection, her health condition is currently more or less stabilized and she’s temporally back from the Children’s Regional Hospital. The doctors warned Eva’s parents of probable hemorrhages, so they should keep a constant eye on their daughter’s health changes.

Eva’s alarmed parents are appealing you for help to raise 1,740 US dollars for their daughter’s surgery in Moscow! Remember that even your smallest donation can make a great change in Eva’s tomorrow. Support this lovely little angel, please!

The family lives in the town of Berdyansk (the Zaporizhzhya region)
