Due to one of our constant contributors (J&L from the US) Happy Child foundation obtained a possibility to help two boarding schools of the region at the same time.
Our help turned out to be especially topical in the Volnyansk boarding school. An issue of purchase of carpeting for the gym for a long time serving as a kind of an assembly hall for the boarding school children had long been acute. The same problem was with the carpeting in the sensory room. But both these issues were resolved: due to your donations the carpeting was purchased (128 m3 for a total sum of about 6000 UAH).
Besides, a decision was made to purchase books and materials for handicrafts for a total sum of 900 UAH.
In the computer science class our help was also needed. In spite of the fact that the computers had been purchased not long before, work with majority of modern applications was complicated. In relation to this, 6 memory modules, a hard drive, a switchboard for the local network and a splitter for the projector were bought for a sum approximately equal 3000. After such purchase the work with modern computer application became much easier.
10 mats for fitness exercise were handed over for the gym.
Tourist area also got financial support. We purchased additional camping outfit for camping trips. Tens of children from the Volnyansk boarding school and Zaporozhye boarding school #3 had possibilities to take parts in the excursions to Dniepropetrovsk and Kiev.
And, one of our most interesting projects is a mobile playroom. At present it is located in the Boarding school #3. We have collected different development toys in this room. Now, children accompanied by their educators can spend their free time building castles and railroads for transport developing their creative and logical skills.
Due to the Fund contributors within the stated period of time we were able to grant our help to the boarding schools for the sum exceeding 34 000 UAH. And certainly we are sure that each hryvna spent in the project was used to make positive changes in the lives of children – orphans.
