Sofiya Kozlova Underwent Treatment in Latvia

Last summer, Sofiya’s life was divided into “before” and “after.” A sudden severe headache, intensive care, and a diagnosis — intracerebral hemorrhage. After examinations, it turned out that the cause was a congenital arteriovenous malformation (AVM). The only safe treatment method for the girl was radiosurgical therapy using the CyberKnife system in Latvia.

Thanks to your support and donations, we were able to collect and pay the required amount — 92,140 UAH (approximately $2,200 USD) for preparatory examinations, including CT and MRI. Everything needed before the procedure was completed on time.

In July, Sofiya underwent two treatment sessions. After the first procedure, she experienced a severe headache, but medication helped stabilize her condition. Now the family is back home, and ahead lies a waiting period: a follow-up examination is planned in 6–9 months.

Sofiya’s mother sends her heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the fundraiser. We also thank each person who responded. Together, we have taken an important step toward Sofiya’s recovery. We sincerely believe that the results of the follow-up examination will be positive and that many happy and peaceful days lie ahead for her.

Without proper treatment, 17-year-old Tymofii Shatulskyi cannot control his serious illness.
Please, help raise funds for life-saving medication!
