"Another challenging year is behind us. 2024 was difficult for everyone, but even in tough times, our family experiences small yet significant victories! Karina is doing well—she is excelling in sports, studying hard, and helping her parents take care of her little brother.

We are staying home! Despite all the difficulties, our entire family remains in our hometown. For special children like Artur, any relocation is a tremendous challenge, so we are grateful to stay in a familiar environment.

Artur has grown and become stronger. Thanks to a gastrostomy tube and special nutrition, he has gained almost 10 kg (22 lbs) in two and a half years! His immunity has improved, and his gaze has become more focused. Arturchik has started recognizing his loved ones and responding to their voices.

What Artur is struggling with now:

Severe epileptic seizures—up to 12 times a day.

Dystonic attacks causing pain and worsening scoliosis.

Hip dislocation, leading to additional pain and discomfort.

Together with doctors, we are doing everything possible to ease Arturchik’s pain. However, the cost of treatment is overwhelming. Our monthly expenses reach up to 20,000 UAH (approximately $490 USD) — just for anti-seizure therapy and gastrostomy care, not including regular medical check-ups, viral infections, and rehabilitation.
