Just a few years ago they were officially called “fetuses” and had no chance of survival. Today newborns whose weight is more than 500 gram are CHILDREN who can stay alive... What allowed saving their lives were the intensive care units for low-weight newborns, one of which is operating in the Zaporozhye Regional Clinic for Children. Since the Intensive Care Unit started its operation, more than one hundred of newborns were given a chance to live.
