“Please help!!!” – these were the first words we heard from the mother and the grandmother of Eugeniy Chudnovskiy when they entered the doors of our Foundation. They had tears of desperation in their eyes and their voices were trembling: “We have no time to postpone it any longer!” The workers present in our office did their best to bring the women to their senses.
As you might remember, the Chudnovskiy family first came to our Foundation a year ago. Eugeniy planned to have his kidney transplantation in fall 2012. Since that time, the family survived many things – intensive care, dialysis, suffer, stop crying, suffer again… And here they are...
Dialysis is not an easy thing for the boy’s body. He has more attacks, headaches, and convulsions. Each manipulation is a torture for this young man. And his spirits are sinking day by day.
Eugeniy’s kidney transplantation surgery is scheduled for February. The money is over. The boy’s grandmother, ready to do anything to save her grandson, donates her kidney.
But where does the family get the unbelievable sum of UAH 40.000 (approximately 4,900 US dollars) for the surgery???
It is the principal fight for this small family. And they are ready to go all the way.
