Little Mark has his family now!

I sometimes think to myself what a great change of life a child experiences who mostly communicated with his mom. What changes for a child at the orphanage? There comes a new daily routine, and some more new teachers but it all happens in the same place, right in the orphanage. The experience of an orphan is much different than for a “normal” child, even in small things.

Mark feels rather constrained with strangers at the beginning, and he has some speech problems. The speech therapists, however, believe that the boy is promising and regular speech lessons would do wonders for him.

Ten minutes later after our meeting with Mark he became truly keen on the photo session! Being usually very peaceful, we could hardly persuade Mark to let other children participate in the photo process! This little boy had a fountain of ideas! Mark definitely proves the fact that not only girls enjoy having their pictures taken!

If you are interested in adopting Mark, please read the memo to the potential adoptive parents, guardians, and foster parents; you can also contact Children’s Affairs' service of the Zaporozhia State Administration by telephone (061) 239-01-56. Request the Profile Number of Mark accordingly to the orphan list # 0159033.

Other children who dream of finding a family

If for some reason you are currently not able to adopt (for example, you are a student and do not have a family of your own yet) you are still able to help children at a boarding school (an orphanage) with your financial support. Ways you can help include: planning and participating in excursions and trips for children; visiting a child in an orphanage; or helping purchase developmental toys, books, construction sets, and sports equipment.
