Julia Kovdrya can now afford an implantable cardioverter-defribillator!

January 6, 2012, 13:20 3544 Author: Iryna Gavrisheva, translated by Daria Sukach www.deti.zp.ua The money for purchasing a vitally important cardioverter-defribillator for Julia has finally been raised thanks to you, our dear donors!

Our dear readers and donors,

We’ve got some good news! The essential sum of money for Julia’s cardioverter-defribillator has finally been collected!!! And for her 25th birthday Julia got the best present ever – a chance for life!

The fundraising campaign for Julia was rather slow. From the very beginning we were aware of the fact that this campaign would not go smoothly since Julia is an adult. Sometimes we had the impression that Julia’s case would not gain any attention. There was such a moment when Julia’s appeal for help was viewed more than 25,000 times, but the bank account had only 2, 233 US of the necessary 14,883 dollars. We were all close to despair. One can only imagine what Julia’s family felt like at that moment!

Thanks to God, our appeals to some enterprises and private donors yielded a substantial amount of money. We can assure you that Julia can now afford a new cardioverter-defribillator! This little device will constantly monitor her heart rate, relieving Julia of the constant fear of listening to her heartbeats and her mom the need to monitor her 24 hours a day, prepared to restart her daughter’s heart at any moment.

We’re hugely thankful to everyone who responded to Julia’s problem! Thanks to you Julia’s heart will go on beating!

Without proper treatment, 17-year-old Tymofii Shatulskyi cannot control his serious illness.
Please, help raise funds for life-saving medication!
