First Peaks of the Carpathians

On Sunday, May 24, 2026, the team of the charitable foundation organized a hiking excursion for displaced children and other socially vulnerable groups along one of Bukovyna’s traditional routes — the Smuhar Waterfalls, Protyate Kaminnya, and Sokolyne Oko.

The event brought together 25 children and 6 adults. For most of the participants, it was their first time visiting these wonderful places, as well as their first experience of overcoming challenges and climbing mountain trails. Such experiences help children truly feel the mountains in real life, rather than only seeing them in videos or textbooks.

We sincerely thank everyone who helps introduce the mountains to children who lost their homes because of the war. These trips are not only about recreation — they are also an important part of education, emotional recovery, and discovering nature.

In the coming days, we are preparing not just another excursion, but a full four-day hiking trip through the Carpathians.

We also kindly ask you to support the activities of our “Klubok” project. Even small donations help children discover more, gain confidence in themselves, and better understand the world around them.

Without our support, six-year-old Kira Kargieva will not be able to continue essential rehabilitation and corrective therapy sessions. Please help us raise funds for treatment and development of the girl!
