Donation income and expense report
Oleh was born with congenital disorders that significantly affect the development of his nervous system and motor functions. Doctors diagnosed numerous serious conditions — Dandy–Walker malformation, hydrocephalus, spastic tetraparesis, epilepsy and portal hypertension. The full list of diagnoses takes up seven lines in the medical records.
Portal hypertension in Oleh manifested when he was only two years old. After a repeated bleeding episode, the boy had to undergo spleen removal — another difficult trial in his young life.
Oleh is now 14 years old. He cannot speak, hold his head, or eat independently — the boy is completely dependent on the care of his parents, who love and protect him endlessly.
In August last year, Oleh was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Regional Children’s Hospital with gastrointestinal bleeding, and a few months later he developed a complication — peritonitis. Since then, he has been in the hospital for more than a year. Currently, his condition is severe but stable, and he may be discharged home in a week.
For a long time, Oleh was completely dependent on a ventilator. Now he breathes through a tracheostomy and requires constant oxygen support. For the boy to be able to return home, an oxygen concentrator costing 25,800 UAH (approximately 610 US dollars) is needed. This device is not just equipment — it is a chance for Oleh to survive and get through this critically difficult period. Help Oleh breathe freely!
