On July 31, 2025, the Happy Child Charitable Foundation and the “Klubok” tourism project, in partnership with NGO “We Are from Ukraine”, organized a trip for 20 displaced children from the Storozhynets community in Chernivtsi region to the magical landscapes of the Bukovyna Carpathians.
From the Nimchych Pass, we hiked to the Falcon’s Eye, then to the Protiate Stones, exploring the grotto nearby. After that, we walked along the Smuhar Waterfalls. A short description of the route, but so many emotions and impressions from the journey.
For many children, this was their first hike in the Carpathians, even though they have been living in Bukovyna for 3 years. The kids tested themselves in new conditions and discovered the beauty of the land they moved to while fleeing the war.
We sincerely thank everyone who, despite the war, helps us introduce Ukrainian children from vulnerable groups to the beauty of the mountain nature. We will be very grateful for your support of our tourism program –
