Daryna Tsyhypa

Daryna Tsyhypa, a twelve-year-old girl with a passion for creativity, spends her time crocheting soft toys, crafting seashell and papier-mache pieces, and painting in the traditional Petrykivka style. She also adores animals — her home is filled with love from a chihuahua, three cats, and kittens she rescued from the streets. Daryna dreams of becoming an interior designer and one day seeing Italy’s beautiful architecture with her own eyes. But right now, she’s battling a serious condition: severe scoliosis.

Despite two years of conservative treatment and wearing a brace, Daryna’s condition has only worsened. Doctors at Okhmatdyt hospital have recommended surgery to implant special devices that will help align and stabilize her spine. The cost of these implants is 274,800 UAH — a huge sum for Daryna’s family, as her mother works as a nurse and her father is a firefighter.

We’ve already covered half the cost from our reserve funds and have arranged with the supplier to delay payment of the remaining balance until the end of next week. Now, we urgently need your help to raise the remaining 135,000 UAH (about 3,300 USD).
