Donation income and expenditure report
There are two boys in the Ustinov family. The youngest, seven-year-old Lev, is starting school this year. The family became aware of their son's health issues when he was 1.5 years old. Lev ceased responding to attempts to communicate with him, yet remained hyperactive. They began consulting doctors and followed the prescribed therapy. Only at the age of three did Lev receive a final diagnosis: organic and mental disorder within the autistic spectrum, along with delayed language and cognitive development.
Lev began speaking at the age of six, but some of his words are still unclear. Rehabilitation sessions were incorporated alongside medical treatment. There has been progress in Lev's behavior, but it is crucial that the treatment process remains comprehensive and ongoing. However, the family lacks the financial resources for everything needed. Additionally, the eldest son, 12-year-old Gleb, also faces health challenges.
Despite occasional disagreements, the brothers share a close bond. Gleb finds it challenging to communicate with his younger brother, but he makes efforts, understanding that Lev's actions are not deliberate but a result of his illness. They share a passion for boxing, training together at home, learning from online resources, and practicing various techniques. They also share an interest in planets and flags from different countries.
The family has reached out to a fund for assistance with Lev's rehabilitation. They require UAH 20,000 ($520 US dollars) to cover the upcoming course scheduled for April 2024.
We hope that with our support, Lev will take another step towards improved communication with his family.
