Within the first four years of his life, Keyon Aaron has already undergone four surgeries. He has been diagnosed with the following medical issues: operated retinopathy 5 degrees, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, adrenal insufficiency, statokinetic and speech development delay, weakness of the central nervous system, deformation of the chest and other health problems.
Due to the extent of his medical issues, Aaron needs constant care and rehabilitation. Even though he has many problems for such a small body, we think he will heal soon.
Aaron was born prematurely. He was in intensive care for four months and was burned. Due to the long recovery after being burned and due to the oxygen levels, he became blind. Due to the condition of the eyes, it was impossible to operate.
Aaron underwent four surgeries in St. Petersburg and five additional rounds of vision rehabilitation in Moscow. He also underwent an additional surgery in St. Petersburg to remove a hernia. In total, Aaron has undergone six surgeries.
Aaron’s mother was sure that he would have enough energy and strength to survive without hormonal treatment. Despite the doctors’ diagnosis, a miracle blessed him. Aaron has been living the past six months without any hormonal treatment.
It is extremely important that Aaron continues his medical treatment and rehabilitation for his neurological system and vision. The sooner he can see, the sooner he can be like any other little boy. Aaron is ready to go to the “INNOVO” rehabilitation center in Lviv. The cost of treatment is 20,200 hryvnia.
Aaron and his family asked us to help them in any way we can. He and his family are appreciative all donations – large and small.
