A volunteer weekend, which has been long ago promised, was finally held on Saturday, May 5 in the orphanage located in the village of Kalinovka, even despite the hot weather and rather late time for planting.

Employees and volunteers of the Foundation together with their children, orphanage students and also workers of the orphanage with their little ones got together on this day. We planted golden daisies, roses, cedars, and many other plants which we received free of charge from the Dnepropetrovsk region. And far away from the urban fuss we were creating this garden for the future generations, forgetting about our daily routine and enjoying the beauty of nature.

Children from the "Happy Home" eagerly helped us water the plants and hoe the soil.

Besides, a great job was done by our middle-level assistants – grown-up orphanage alumni also brought water and dug the soil.

Many thanks to all those who helped us arrange this activity! Special thanks go to L.V. Kulakovskaya for the plants donated, to the orphanage director for the patience and support of our idea, and to our volunteers from Berdyansk and Zaporozhye for dedicating this day to children, taking efforts to improve the territory of the orphanage and make it look like one big fairytale garden!
