Child Needs a Family: Sergey K., born in 1997

February 2, 2012, 20:00 7139 Author: www.deti.zp.ua, translated by Yuliya Grytsenko www.deti.zp.ua Sergey is 18 years old now

You notice Sergey even among other kids in the shelter: eventually, you notice his very sad face; this boy almost never smiles. He is not talkative – it is hard for him to put all his feelings into words. No, don’t get me wrong, he is very smart – when he is not lazy he grasps everything very quickly. It’s just that words can hurt a lot, so why talk about things that hurt?

Sergey expresses himself in art though – he draws and sculpts with passion, setting free imagination that can be contained with such harsh words…

What else can you say about this boy? He is kind, compassionate, easygoing and even-tempered. Sergei has two younger sisters. He enjoys working physically. He likes soccer. Sergey is an ardent fan of “Dynamo Kiev” and his favorite player is Chistiano Ronaldo. And he himself doesn’t mind knocking the ball across the field.

In short, he is an ordinary boy, but a very sad one. He needs a family – and life will start to shine with new, joyful colors!

At the moment, Sergei is in the Berdyansk orphanage.

If you are interested in adopting this child or other children, please read the memo to the potential adoptive parents, guardians, and foster parents; you can also contact Children’s Affairs' service of the Zaporozhia State Administration by telephone (061) 239-01-56 and tell them the profile numbers of Sergey - 0059616.

Other children who dream of finding a family

If for some reason you are currently not able to adopt (for example, you are a student and do not have a family of your own yet) you are still able to help children at a boarding school (an orphanage) with your financial support. Ways you can help include: planning and participating in excursions and trips for children; visiting a child in an orphanage; or helping purchase developmental toys, books, construction sets, and sports equipment.
