Dasha R’s up-to-date treatment news
Dasha had to face grown-up problems far too early in life. Her mom passed away and she, together with her sister and two younger brothers, had to live with her grandmother. Soon afterwards little Dasha was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease. The only possible solution is to have cardiac surgery. But the family suddenly had to face yet another challenge – Dasha’s guardian, her grandmother, had a stroke and was taken to the hospital. And that’s why Dasha and her siblings are currently staying at the Melitopol regional orphan asylum.
It has already been a month since the teachers of the asylum have been substituting as Dasha’s family. They have grown very fond of this talkative and lively girl. Her active nature puts her little heart in danger though. Her teachers often have to “slow down” this irrepressible little lady since her favourite activities are dancing and outdoor games.
Although Dasha was told about the coming surgery, she takes it childishly easy. Dasha prefers playing with her younger brother instead of talking to boring adults. The teachers can’t help admiring the way Dasha cares about her little brother.
We have no power to precisely predict Dasha’s future, but we do have the power to give her a chance for life! The only thing Dasha needs is to have some medical examinations and undergo cardiac surgery in the cardiological department of the Zaporizhia Regional Children’s Hospital. The only roadblock on Dasha’s road to recovery is the lack of money for purchasing costly medicine and surgical materials. Unfortunately, Dasha has no parents who can find money for their daughter’s treatment. How about “being” Dasha’s parents for a time and support her by raising this important sum of money? Christmas is coming, so let’s play the role of kind magicians!
The necessary amount of money is 11,323 hryvnyas (around 1,409 US dollars). We have managed to collect a part of the money. But 1,175 US dollars is still left to collect!
This sum will cover the expense of surgical materials for her cardiac surgery:
7,931 hryvnyas – 986 US dollars for the pump oxygenator items;
2,630 hryvnyas – 327 US dollars for the anaesthesia stuff;
764 hryvnyas – 95 US dollars for the medication.
