The donation account for Sophia’s treatment
“My daughter, Sophia Ruslanovna Udod, was born on the 30th September 2006 in the maternity hospital #5 of the city of Zaporizhia. The head doctor who assisted the birth made a decision to induce labour but then had to stop it, and due to such obstetrician actions, my 2850 gram newborn came into this world with asphyxia and was taken to the neonatal resuscitation unit right away” The pages 1,, The pages 2, – begins the girl's mother, Svetlana Udod.
Due to the difficult delivery, the newborn girl was immediately taken to the intensive care unit where she stayed for 45 long days. The parents took the baby girl home, but her precious life has been strongly dependent on hospitals – her diagnosis is CSP (cerebral spastic paralysis). Her mother Svetlana did not lose hope, and followed all the doctors’ instructions and advice. From time to time the little girl has special treatments – horse riding, reconditioning centers, and therapeutic massages. Three years of constant treatment has made some progress, but unfortunately Sophia has begun to suffer epilepsy attacks. So, these new tortures have brought on the need for additional treatments for the little girl.
In 2009 the Sophia’s mother made a decision to start a costly treatment in the Truskavets International Clinics. Since she did not have any money for the treatment, Svetlana sold her flat in order to cure her daughter and moved to live with her disabled mother.
Case record (February 2009: page 1, page 2.
Case record (June 2010): page 1, page 2.
The treatment has achieved a long-awaited result: Sophia is starting to sit all by herself. Then Svetlana made a decision to go on with another course of the treatment resulting in another success – Sophia has learnt to crawl! Doctors recommend her mother to keep on with the treatment in the clinics, as it is looking really promising for the child, and she has a great chance to walk, at least with a stick, though still using her own legs and thus, unaided. What happiness it is to go to play outside with your friends, or to go with them to the cinema, to go to school holding your mom’s hand and never ever feel yourself dependent upon other people, even upon the dearest ones! Unless the little Sophia goes on with her treatment, her muscles will atrophy and she will make a huge step backward, back into the wheelchair.
Nowadays Svetlana brings up her daughter alone since the girl's father has left the family and what’s more he doesn’t pay alimony nor take any part in the girl’s life. The girl’s mother tries her very best to cure her lovely daughter but even her ‘great strength’ can fail one day.
The members of the Happy Child Foundation and Sophia’s mother ask you to help our little girl to stand up on her own. She needs more treatment courses in clinics.
We will be endlessly grateful to everyone who’ll decide to help Sophia Udod!
