Yesterday we heard this story on the phone:
A resident of the Odessa region received a phone call from 089хххххх and introduced themselves as Happy Child Fund. They said that they sent her a package and money, but she would have to pay 400 hryvnias at the post office. In the local chat where she wrote, the woman was warned that they could be scammers and were given the fund's real number.
We conclude that scammers on behalf of the fund send parcels to people by cash on delivery. That is, at the post office, a person must pay money for, relatively speaking, air, expecting to receive a useful humanitarian cargo.
Friends, be careful! We never ship cash on delivery!
