Recently, there has been a huge queue to our small office since the morning. Mostly these are families with children who were forced to leave their homes, running away from the war. Almost everyone has no job, and many have no savings. Most of the people in the queue are sure that they are in Zaporozhye temporarily, and everyone dreams of returning home as soon as possible.
We try to help every family in some way. Last week we gave out "Burenka" milk, which was brought from the Vinnitsa region, fruit puree from the Red Cross, and "Silpo" certificates. As well as baby food, diapers and hygiene products, which we constantly look for and buy ourselves.
For example, on April 28 there were about a hundred people! It turned out that we were not ready for such a load. Or rather, we managed physically, but our office became almost empty and the next day we already denied help.
The other day we became aware that the Church of Saints Peter and Paul has diapers and baby food. We immediately gathered all the men present in our office, and set off as a strong team to hunting for prey. Within 10 minutes, the residents themselves opened the gates for us. Having assessed the balance of power and established warm relations with the rector and two sisters, the three of us loaded a full car of trophies help for migrants. Now the Church again has a free place to receive humanitarian goods from abroad, and we have something to help families with children.
Miracles always happen in our work, and during the war, every help to the foundation is priceless! This help was amazingly timely! We sincerely thank the Church of Saints Peter and Paul!
The new working week began with the visit of two girls from Kramatorsk. One of them is expecting a baby, and the second is the mother of a little boy. We are happy that we were able to help them at least a little and see sincere smiles on their sad faces.
The war continues. The number of families in need of help is growing every day. Without financial support, the work of the fund may stop.
