A Child Needs A Family: Veronika Sh., born in 1997

September 4, 2011, 13:00 7388 Author: Victoria Mochalova, translated by Daria Sukach www.deti.zp.ua Veronika is 18 years old now

2013

Veronika never won any competitions and she’s definitely not the best student in her class. This girl doesn’t have any extraordinary hobbies or talents. She is not very artistic and her life story would not impress you. Veronika is not a plump toddler who has just got her first tooth. She’s an ordinary teenager. So what? Should one only love little and bright children?! Teenagers need a family and parents’ love in the same way, don’t they?

2011

What else can I tell you about this girl? She’s very patient and caring to everyone. Veronika is a devoted friend and takes care of her girlfriends. Even free time activities depend on tastes and preferences of her friends rather than her own.

She is kind, gentle and responsible. Veronika dances in the school band “Yunost” (Youth). She likes to play with younger children…

2011

Veronika has got an older brother Egor (born in 1994) who lives in the same orphanage.

If you are interested in adopting Veronika, please read the memo to the potential adoptive parents, guardians, and foster parents; you can also contact Children’s Affairs' service of the Zaporozhia State Administration by telephone (061) 239-01-56. Request the Profile Number of Veronika accordingly to the orphan list #0057552.

Other children who dream of finding a family

If for some reason you are currently not able to adopt (for example, you are a student and do not have a family of your own yet) you are still able to help children at a boarding school (an orphanage) with your financial support. Ways you can help include: planning and participating in excursions and trips for children; visiting a child in an orphanage; or helping purchase developmental toys, books, construction sets, and sports equipment.
