Vitya and Vladik, small patients of hematology department of Zaporozhye, Ukraine
August 6, 2006, 11 years old Roma Khlud died in children's hematolgy hospital of Zaporozhye.
Amy, American woman, was very impressed by this event, and sent $500 donation for purchasing modern medical equipment to the hospital. Amy call this donation "Roma's gift".
Like Amy, several other sponsors also made donations. For example, one sponsor donated money, saved for vacation, and other sponsor sold his old car. Needed sum, $2020, was collected during 40 days from the Roma's death day.
Infusomat Fms from B.Braun - this device allow doctors strongly keep to the treatment protocols (infusion speed) and allow hospital nurses and parents of sick children to hear alarm when infusion vessel is empty. Protocol observance is very important thing in cancer treatment. Bad equipment is one of the main reason why children in Ukrainian died from cancer more often than in the Europe or America. Protocols are almost the same, but medical equipment is worse. For good cancer treatment doctors need another 14 Infusomat's, so further donations for this purpose are highly needed.
Here are names of infusomat "Roma's gift" sponsors:
Amy Swindle, USA - $500
Glenn Gunter, USA - $250
Patrick Anderson, USA - $200
Marina Lell, Germany - $616
Ken Ivory, USA - $40
Donald Peterson, USA - $25
Robert Vincent, USA - $300
Wes & Susy Peterson, USA - $200

Total $2131
The rest of money, $111 will go towards next infusomat.
Sick children, their parents, doctors and volunteers thank sponsors for their help!
