Ukraine Orphan Hosting Program

FORT WAYNE, IND (Indiana's News Center)

For the fourth time in two years, a group of young orphans from the Ukraine will be visiting fort wayne.

Hands of Hope sponsors an orphan hosting program where young children come to the United States as part of a cultural camp.

The children range in ages from six to twelve years, and they stay with host families for three weeks.

The goal for the children is to experience fun activities in a different culture. including trips to the zoo, parks, and museums.

The goal for the host families is to get the opportunity to meet with a child in need to consider for adoption.

If a host family chooses to adopt one of the children, they must go through the standard adoption processes that could take up to ten months.

Hands of Hope is currently seeking host families beginning for the next group of children that arrive on July 28th.
