If I had to describe the boy in one word I would say: sensitive. Both his strength and his weakness lie in this.
While other children demonstrated their skills of playing musical instruments and recited poems the boy was listening attentively. Zhenya really loves music and has a delicate perception of poetry though he cannot either play any instrument or write and recite poems himself. Anyway, he sincerely admires his friend who has these talents in full.
The boy has good abilities for study but his progress is uneven. It’s hard for Zhenya to concentrate on his subjects when he is upset, offended or in low moods.
Foreign languages attract the boy. It’s a separate world for him. He speaks with enthusiasm about his acquaintance with a real treasure: German, English, French… Unfortunately, there’s no one in the boarding school who can help the child to develop his aspiration. Beside this, Zhenya is interested in computers, though so far the talk is mostly about games.
Some time ago the boy stayed in a summer camp during his vacations. Until now, the child remembers sea and forest with pleasure. Especially he admired squirrels. When Zhenya speaks about this I understand how lonely he is. How lonely all the children living in boarding schools are.

If for some reason you are currently not able to adopt (for example, you are a student and do not have a family of your own yet) you are still able to help children from the boarding school (orphanage) through your organizational or financial support of excursions and trips for the children; you can also visit children in the orphanage or help in purchases of development toys, construction sets, books and sport equipment.
