Unfortunately, a certain percentage of children in Ukraine are born prematurely. In a number of cases, from the first minutes of life, these babies are accompanied by serious complications, in particular asphyxia and, as a result, insufficient oxygen supply to the brain.

Such children need mechanical ventilation, thoughtful and careful treatment. The smallest miscalculations and careless actions of doctors can additionally harm babies, and sometimes with irreparable consequences for life.

To prevent this, blood gas tests are performed. Special laboratory equipment, a blood gas analyzer, can determine not only blood oxygen levels, but also other important biochemical parameters from a drop of blood with a volume of 0.15 ml, which makes the treatment more effective.

An arterial blood gas test measures the acidity, carbon dioxide, and oxygen levels in the blood from an artery. In simple words, the measurements show how well the baby's lungs deliver oxygen to the blood.

However, not only in newborns, but in many other critical conditions of older children, it is important to know the content of gases in the blood. Knowing the exact indicators allows you to choose the ideal therapy for the child and gives him the opportunity not only to survive, but to avoid terrible complications and grow up as a healthy person.

Special reagents, blood gas capillaries, test tubes and monovets - all this was recently purchased again so that the operation of the equipment and the necessary examinations did not stop.
