A Child Needs a Family: Anastasia, born in 2002

July 14, 2016, 16:37 5457 Author: Doykova Julia; The operator and editor: Zhirov Ruslan, translated by Andrei Vernon www.deti.zp.ua Anastasia is 18 years old now

“Nastenka” is a beautiful, wise and active girl. She really does look like a modern-day princess. She is refined, has good posture, deep brown and kind eyes, and a wonderful smile. Anastasia is comfortable around adults – she responded to each question quickly and confidently.

When asked about her friends, Anastasia answered with sadness and pain in her eyes because she has no friends. After being adopted and then returned to the orphanage, Anastasia has changed. We have noticed that she has lost faith in people. Despite this, she has hope of finding a new family.

Anastasia loves to train in the fitness room, ride bikes, play badminton, and play Ping-Pong (table tennis). She also used to dance Eastern dances. During our filming Anastasia played foosball (table football/soccer) with one of the orphanage’s caretakers. Despite her feminine qualities Anastasia is brave, has a sense of purpose and confidence.

Anastasia’s favorite fairytale is the one her father used to read to her before bedtime – “Конек-горбунок»” (The Little Humpbacked Horse). She told us that the fairy tail teaches us how we should act towards humans and animals.

Anastasia dreams about a big family and would love to live in a private home and not a large apartment block. She loves to help around the house.

Last but not least, we hope this beautiful and smart girl will be adopted soon. She will become a helpful and great daughter!

If you have been thinking about adopting this child or other children, please, read the memo to potential adoptive parents, guardians, and foster parents; or you can also contact Children’s Affairs' service of the Zaporozhye State Administration by telephones (061) 239-02-51 or (061) 239-01-56 and make sure to provide them with Anastasia’s file number – 0059049.

Other children who dream of finding a family

If for some reason you are currently not able to adopt (for example, you are a student and do not have a family of your own yet) you are still able to help children at a boarding school (an orphanage) with your financial support. Ways you can help include: planning and participating in excursions and trips for children; visiting a child in an orphanage; or helping purchase developmental toys, books, construction sets, and sports equipment.
