Alexander is definitely not an academically driven boy. He has managed to learn how to read and write - and that’s great enough for him! However, he is quick to learn various crafts. You can see yourself how thoroughly and knowingly he is speaking about his handicrafts set out at the school exhibition. No doubt, he has a flair for making things. And he seems to be not only good at purely “boyish” crafts, but embroidery as well. You would be astonished by the accuracy of the needle-holder made by him. He is also pretty good at drawing and is really passionate about it.

This young lad is a leader by his nature. To be in charge is really important for him. And it is something Alexander has to fight for as he is not the only child with ambitions here but, actually, he is not afraid of his rivals. Nevertheless, he holds the authority in his group. He is strong-willed and has an influence on other kids. Along with that, Alexander has a true friend here, they are always hand in glove when it comes to useful or naughty and mischievous things. It’s a pity, his friend leaves for home to visit his family every weekends and Alexander stays in the boarding school as he has nowhere to go.
