Thanks to "Happy Child" the children from large and low-income families of the Zaporozhye and Berdyansk districts gained unforgettable impressions. On the New Year’s Eve, children went to the excursion to the city of Dnepropetrovsk. First of all the children went to the historical museum of the D. I. Yavornytsky to learn about the city as much as possible. The building is an architectural monument of the national importance, that’s why the children included it to the program of their trip with pleasure. The museum’s staff cordially welcomed little visitors. The Head of the Archaeology Department - Alexander Starik did not only guide the tour but he did everything to make the story exciting both for young and adult tourists. It should be noted that for each museum’s employee it is important not only to know the history but also to do their job creatively.

The Diorama "The Battle for the Dnieper" is not only the biggest in Ukraine but one of the biggest in the world. The detached building is the center of the memorial which is dedicated to the heroes and events of The Great Patriotic War. In the center there is a 20 meter-long and 70-meter high canvas.

The museum researcher Ludmila Ivanikova told the young tourists many interesting facts about the tremendous battle of The Great Patriotic War that helped children to reproduce the tragic picture of 1941-1945…

It was simply impossible to get tired of the old museum exhibits, its original design and by all its beauty and innovative approach! But we were running out of time. A delicious and nourishing dinner was waiting for the children in the «Puzata khata» cafe.

The Dnepropetrovsk complex "The Bridge City Center" is a "city within a city", as it includes the business center, the residential apartments and the shopping mall. The children were able to walk around this large-scale building and to visit "The Ice Bridge" the skating rink where administration allowed kids to skate for free.

At “the Bridge movie” cinema the kids got a good discount on the tickets. It gave them the opportunity to watch an interesting 4D-cartoon - "The Dangerous Express." After an exciting watching all the kids, without exception, were happy and cheerful!

The 25-meter high Christmas tree, was installed in the park named after L. A. Globa. The Christmas Tree that was decorated with the New Year's brightly lighted garlands like a winter bride attracted the attention of all children and adults. We did not miss our chance and like many other people took the pictures near the green beauty! The smell of a pine tree, bright lights and cheerful smiles of children let us feel the eve of the coming New 2012 year… Well, we wish you all good luck, health, love and success in 2012!
