A Child Needs a Family: Vladislav D., was born in 1998

December 13, 2010, 15:00 3863 Author: Victiria Mochalova, translated by Daria Sukach www.deti.zp.ua Vladislav refused from being adopted

Vladislav refused from being adopted.

Vlad still cannot decide on his hobbies – he’s been facing his storm-and-stress period. He used to attend the dance club but later quit. The boy told me that he ended his dance lessons not because of the difficulties or not liking it anymore, but because of nervousness. “I felt shy to perform in public”, - Vlad confessed honestly.

Vlad is really keen on computer science. Although he likes playing computer games, he’s also interested in some more serious things. He loves working. Vlad attends professional courses of natural handcrafts. Handcraft lessons make him more diligent and attentive about the beauty of nature and fine details.

Do you see the keys hanging around Vlad’s neck? It’s the bedroom keys where he dwells with his mates. He is the only one who can be entrusted with the key keeping duty since he won’t lose them, run away, or steal them. Although, it might seem not a big deal to some of the readers, it’s absolutely clear to everyone in the orphanage that the young man is respected by the children and adults.

Vlad has been living in the orphanage for two years already. He’s got great grandparents who regularly visit, and even take him home for vacations. Unfortunately, they are too old to care for Vlad and let him live in their family.

If the fact that Vlad loves someone else from his previous life does not scare you, don’t hesitate to welcome this nice boy to your family and a new life which he can paint with new bright colours.

Vlad is living in the boarding school.

If you are interested in adopting Vlad or other children, please read the memo to the potential adoptive parents, guardians, and foster parents or contact us or provide profile #0056147 to the State Department of Adoption.

Other children who dream of finding a family.

If you are not ready to adopt at this moment (e.g. you are a student and haven’t created your own family yet) you can also help children from the boarding school (orphanage) by supporting organizationally or financially excursions and trips for the children, visiting a child in the orphanage, or helping with buying developmental toys, books, construction sets and sport equipment.
