Probably, not only employees of the charity fund, but everybody who ever helped anyone, faced this kind of argument: “why making a huge effort and help one very sick child who will remain probably a disabled person anyways? Better, if this effort and money will be spent on the children that are easier to help and who will become worth members of society”. Moreover, this point of view is also being heard from the doctors – the only people that give the greatest hope to the parents of a sick child. I also met people, who deliberately refuse to help the charity fund “Happy Child” particularly for that reason, or they just say so.
Lets forget about classic: “That is being said by people who have never had this misery”. God Bless them to learn and gain wisdom from others’ mistakes and never have this kind of life lessons.
Lets get to the point: why people are thinking of this matter in the way “how to spend the money right?” is the money theirs? Is the money available with the parents, desperate and shocked by terrible diagnosis and fees? No. The money for expensive treatment and surgeries are being collected bit by bit. It is extremely tense process that requires a huge effort and is being pushed by despair and hope. No exaggerating, it is a very hard work, which not many people would be willing to do without a serious reason for that.
So, why whoever dares to get into discussing and making conclusions about what the money should be better spent for? - by the way, apparently never sending to charity funds a penny or making a bit of an effort without being pushed for it. Probably, it is one of the worst impacts of politics on a human brain. It seems like we were trained to put aside all our issues and subject matters and start discussing gas prices, elections, language disputes….. Being occupied by these global problems, we can hardly notice what is going on next to us.
The reason why we should help particularly every child is that every child can be rescued. It is not a question of lack of financing in the city or country.
Organization “Charities Aid Foundation” makes annual world charity rating and studies charity activity in 153 countries around the world. Lets make an assumption that these people are quite experienced in this subject. So, CAF recommends all conscious individuals plan and invest to charity min 1,5% of monthly income, 1,5% !
Think of your budget. What will you suffer without and will you, having your income decreased by that tiny bit? Think of your city - 1,5% of all peoples’ income. These funds will be enough not only to help every desperate child, for whom government allowance is not enough, but also develop and improve mechanisms of children education and healthcare. And this without taking into account donations from companies and sponsors. The matter of helping every child – is not the matter of lack of money. We have the money.
It’s a question of number of our excuses:
no time;
• I pay taxes anyways;
• “wrong expenditure”;
• Nothing to do with me….;
• Any other response ….
But we have a chance of course, time and talent to discuss how to spend in the right way the money that were gathered with tears, someone else’s money.
And as for “worth society members”. You never know for sure, how the life will be treating a grownup child. There are smart, healthy and strong criminals, who destroy our society. And there are people , who can hardly move, but they not just exist, but make a big effort to really help their misery mates and other people like you and me. Its not really “typical” and “normal”, unfortunately. But it is really good the way they are.
If you want to change something in this world now, change it right now. измените это прямо сейчас.
